A Beautiful and Curious Day
Do you love colour?
Shooting products photography on location with a variety of colours can be a daunting task as a commercial photographer. Especially if you add in textures and design.
When I met Jules, the designer of A Beautiful Curious, she was envisioning her art for not only the wall but also for contemporary interior designs; I knew that colour was number one on the list.
I am lucky to work as a commercial photographer in Gloucestershire and be amongst some of the most wonderful hotels and venues in the area. We were able to arrange a location shoot for the artwork at a Curious Hotels venue, Cowley Manor, a quirky modern hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Cowley Manor is known for its bold colours and patterns. When we arranged the commercial photography commission we had access to several of the rooms at Cowley.
The brief was to showcase the artwork and cushions in various areas allowing the art to literally jump off the walls.
After running up and down a million stairs and laughing the whole day away, we walked away with bold, creative and innovative product photographs for A Beautiful Curious' new website and social media accounts. It was a perfect day.
