I am a true believer that where one door closes another one will open; even if it is just a pixie size door. You may already know that I shoot a lot of weddings. My Gloucestershire wedding photography business, Red Maple Photography is a big part of my life. But through the lockdown of 2020, I was overwhelmed with the love that came from many local businesses asking me if I would now have time with weddings out of the picture to start working with them on their commercial branding photography. I was bowled over with the amount of commercial photography work that came through the door. I was able to focus the year on working on developing this new side of me; the side that I have literally kept on the back burner because there was no time with every weekend filled with weddings.

As the year progressed and lockdown went from weeks to months, I realised that I needed to turn this new little door into a bigger one. It was time for a renovation!

Because my wedding business is well known as Red Maple photography, I want to keep that separate because it is rare you have a couple looking for a photographer and wanting to be blasted in the face with yummy food photos or pictures of buildings. So thus began the new venture of Alicia Victoria, my very own Gloucestershire commercial photography site for branding and food photography.

So why am I excited? The idea of working with local businesses (and beyond) means I can help businesses similar to myself work towards achieving success in their specific industry. Ok, ok I think I have my message out there. I love what I do. I am excited to be able to finally showcase a side of my business that I have kept "quiet".
